Outreach Services

Community Treatment Programs

MLBHC offers outreach services to assist eligible clients within the community.

Our staff includes therapists, certified case managers, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, and psychiatrists. These staff members work within our case management services, Adult In-Home team, and the Assertive Community Treatment team.

Case Management Services are comprehensive services that assist eligible individuals in gaining access to needed medical, social, educational and other services.

Adult In-Home Services (AIH) is a home based service provided by a treatment team to serve individuals who refuse other outpatient services and/or who need temporary additional support due to increased symptoms or transition from a more intense level of services, to defuse an immediate crisis situation, stabilize the living arrangement, and/or prevent out of home placement of the client.

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) provides service primarily in non-treatment settings. It is staffed according to ADMH regulations broadcast in the Alabama Administrative Code for adult clients with serious mental illness or co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders who are in a high-risk period due to an exacerbation of the behavioral health disorder and/or returning from an episode of inpatient, residential psychiatric care, or who are consistently resistant to traditional clinic-based treatment interventions and are difficult to engage in an ongoing treatment program.
